Karen Borg joined the family business in 1990. She read for a Master Degree inBusiness Administration and specialised in Business Finance. She joined thehospitality side of the business and became Managing Director of the Group’s hotelsat the time. The hospitality division is now being repositioned from having standardtourist properties to a more up market ‘lean luxury concept’ in Sliema and Valletta.The group also operates luxury tourism property overseas, particularly on the FrenchRiviera. As CEO of Hospitality and Property, she also spearheads the propertydevelopment division which is currently launching a luxury living concept in centralSliema. Karen has also served as director on the manufacturing and retail boardssince 1989 and on the board of Airmalta plc for four years, where she also sat on theaudit committee.
